Synchrony Home Credit

I was one of those who got >100k in revolving shut down with Synchrony about six months ago. All card were managed well with 0% utilization on them. The only card I actively used was the Sam's credit card which gave me 5% back on gas. At the time of closure I vowed to never do business with them again side they owed me a little over $100 in rewards. Not to mention they closed one my older cards such as JCPenney, Chevron, and 76.

Fast forward, I wanted to test the waters and applied for their Home Card. I applied and my application went into pending. I thought it would be a denial, but about a day later I got a call from them to verify my information. They tried pulling all 3 bureaus, which I was annoyed by, but they were successful in pulling Equifax and Transunion since I had Experian frozen. They approved my request with a limit of $5400. I tried calling Credit Solutions a few days after and they were unable to increase the limit.

All my scores are above 735, 5% utilization, lol/24 inquiries within the past 24 months, but 4 within the past 6 months.

I wouldn't consider another app after closure. My Verizon was the only one in portfolio to interest me though.

Nice job. This is a good post for all the I hate Sync and will never do business with again crowd. Most will try again if they have a card that they want. Sync has their fingers in alot of pies so even though they throw some at some people with intent to drown the clown, still enough left over to American Pie how one likes
