Capital One automatic CLI

today my quicksilver received a 100$ CLI automatic, my card start how

platinum 300$

CLI to 400$ (1000$ requested) at third month

updated to quicksilver, third month

automatic CLI -> 500$.. 5th month

what i need wait?

automatic CLI every 6 months?, or try request a CLI in 3 months?

Congrats on your autoCLI. A Cap One autoCLI is rare these days. Don't expect another. You will be eligible to ask in 6 months.

As mentioned above, they only allow requested CLIs every 6 months after being granted one and what you got for the auto-cli was the "credit steps" increase, which are automatic. You requested a portion of your "credit steps" increase early and PCing to QS was a good step, both of which you can do and is common with these this particular starter card.

You will likely need to request future CLIs every 6 months (but can request them anytime if you have not been granted one in 6 months until you receive one again) and Cap One is not very giving, especially with bucketed cards, so will likely be $100, if they offer one. Maybe more, but there is no guarantee, as they are a bit stingy!

The "credit steps" and auto CLIs do not count towards the 6 month waiting period, but requesting and getting a CLI will require 6 months before getting another. CapOne likes heavy use/PIF to keep getting them. If you don't use the card/limit much, they are known to not give CLIs.

If your scores have improved and (re)built your credit profile further, you may have better luck with a better CL on a second CC with them than growing these starter cards.
