NFCU More Rewards AMEX and Academy Sports Approvals.

I have been in rebuilding mode the past year or so. I have paid off all of my collections (6 or so) and got all but 1 (NCA) deleted from my report.

I tried to get back in with AMEX with the Green Card a couple days ago but was declined.

With the help of this forum I decided to become a member of NFCU and joined the 1st of September with Savings and Checking. I opened a $300 Secured NRewards card around the same time.

Today I decided to try to open the More Rewards card and receieved the 24-48 hour message. About one hour later I got an email saying "Congratulations, you're approved!". Credit line is only 1,000, but hopefully it will grow with me. APR is 16.99%

I also applied for the Academy Sports and Outdoors card and got approved for $350.

I am done apping for a year or two and will let all of my cards grow and old baddies fall off. I have 2 Credit One cards that maybe I can get rid of now since I got approved for this More Rewards.

My MyFICO Transunion score is 623 and I have around 12 inquiries on TU.

My open tradelines now are: Discover (4k), Capital One QS1 (500), Credit One Platinum (400, and 800), NFCU NRewards (300), Kohls (300) Academy (350) and the More Rewards (1000).

Congratulations @Gatortrout !!! NCA is the ultimate worst....they are the last CA sitting on a few of our reports. I will add you to our group.

If any of us get them to remove it we will contact the others.

Thank you I would appreciate that! It was still a big relief to be able to pay it off and atleast have it reporting as paid. Hopefully someone will figure out how to get them to remove from reporting after being paid.

Thank you everyone. It is a big sense of accomplishment being approved for the More Rewards today, especially after only having the secured nrewards for a few weeks. Hopefully that one will graduate within this next year and I can get both cards to grow.
