Approved for Apple Card, so far no HP.

So I went online to purchase an iPad at Apple and decided to try my luck at getting the Apple card. I filled out the app and it told me I was approved and to either accept or decline the offer. I took the offer and my purchase went through.

About 2 hours later, I got an email from TU saying a company tried to pull a credit report as part of a new credit application, but it was refused because my accounts are locked. It then said to unlock the reports and contact the company and have them rerun the application.

I called Apple and they connected me to GS and the lady on the phone told me I would just have to reapply all over again....I said to her are you sure....I placed an order and I don't want to do it again and have 2 iPads purchased. She asked me some identity questions and looked up the account and told me...I see your Apple order and it went through. Told me the credit limit and what I have charged to it and told me not to worry about unlocking my reports, cause everything looks fine.

So, I guess I am getting this card with no HP. I'll keep you updated. We'll see if she was correct or if I will end up getting a call or letter or email telling me they can't ship my iPad till I unlock my reports.

A little unusual, but Apple and Apple Card (GS) are two different entities. It should go through. Congrats!

Still no HP from Apple Card

So I apped for the Apple card the end of October and I still have gotten NO hard pull. When I placed my order on Apple and did the credit app, I forgot that my credit reports were all locked. Everything went through and then I got an email from Transunion saying that a HP was blocked because I have my report locked and that I should unlock it and call the company and have them rerun the application for credit. I called Apple and explained the situation and they transferred me to Goldman Sachs and someone from the Apple card division told me I would have to have to go back onto the Apple site and repurchase and apply for credit again. I told her I did do a purchase with the last application, so she asked me my email address and the order number and looked it up and said don't bother unlocking your accounts, she said she was looking at my account and I was approved for the Apple card and that the purchase I had made already went through and that everything looked fine. So I am guessing that I just slipped through the cracks. I have had the account 2 months and already made 2 payments on my account.

Congratulations on your approval, I really do believe you've managed to slip through the cracks. Also is Apple reporting your credit card use to the bureaus ? Is so I don't think you'll ever receive a HP.

Yes, it is reporting. I just got lucky I guess!

Yes, my limit is $3250 and APR is 15.99%
