Approved for Bank of America Cash Rewards Card

So in 2012, I burned BOA for about $5K. Was going through a divorce and things were not good financially. Ended up filing for bankruptcy in 2017. Today, I had received a email in the BOA app saying that I was pre-selected for the Cash Rewards card. I've had a checking account with them for about two years. I crossed my fingers, completed the app and received a message that they needed to review. About 10 minutes later, I got an email saying I was approved for $1500. Whoooohoooo.

I didn't believe it and checked the application status online and yup, I was approved and new card will be mailed in 7-10 days.

BOA Charge off - 6/2012 for a little over $5,000

Ch7 Bankruptcy Discharged 09/17

FICO 8 (09/2020) Equifax - 668; Transunion - 663; Experian - 686

Current Cards: Navy Federal cashRewards: $4,000 CL (Started as $500 nRewards Secured 01/18); Utilization: 0%

Cap One Quicksilver: $2,500 CL (Started as $500 Platinum 01/18) Utilization: 10%

Cap One Auto Loan: 24 months left - Roughly $7,560 balance. 9.0% APR

I don't know if having the BOA Checking account helped but I've been putting $250 every paycheck in that account so when we go on vacations I can just bring one card. Since Covid we didn't have a vacation but I kept added money to the account. I never thought to cold app because I knew my history with them and heard they weren't BK friendly and for the amount that I burned them for. But the pre-selected invitation was in the app.
