37k new credit!

I came out of the garden and couldn't keep my hands off the application bandwagon.

My TU and EQ piqued above the 700 mark at 726 and 711. Ex still hates me and is at 699 and was locked for the first few days. I thought I would start with Apple GS since they declined me in September for not using their card. I put a lot of use on it the past month and a half and I could not find a reference for a waiting period for the time since last decline, so i took a chance and they took me fom $6500 to $9500 with no HP. I felt kind of happy and decided to see if US Bank would do something for me with a soft pull, they did and added another 4k from $9500 to $12.5k. Off to Paypal I go to try again. While being less generous, I asked them to take me from 3k to 5k. They said no but they still upped my credit line to $4500.

Since i did so well with the soft pulls. I decided to let go of the freeze on EX and try to get a better limit at PSECU. I already had two 10k cards there and so i asked for the last 10k I can get from them, they said sure why not and now i have a 20k and 10k card again for the first time in 12 years.

I have only asked Schools First CU for a CLI once and they slapped me back pretty hard with a NO! So I decided since i did so well, if they declined me I wouldn't feel so bad. Oh what a happy day when they piled on another 10k to my 3.5k card, woohoo!

Throwing caution to the wind I headed over to Alliant where I have held my $50 in checking and savings for the past couple years since they declined me for a card there also. Went through the motions and they decided to be generous with another 10k on the normal visa.

Well time to garden again. I will see what happens during the next fall harvest! I got sooo lucky!

Every time I ask US Bank for an increase, they want me to unfreeze my reports and they hard pull me. Needless to say, I never get the increase.

OP, did you get a 3K or 4K US Bank increase?

Congratulations. We're you paid to a zero balance when you requested the Apple Card increase?

I wasn't paid to zero. I had charged it up some and paid it off about three times in the month and a half since my decline. I had a couple charges for fast food on there at the time of CLI and had just paid it off about a week earlier. I knew they wanted heavy use so I put away my AMEX and started using the Apple card for everything I could. When I asked for the increase I put in my text message that I wanted an increase to buy the new Macbook Pro just to see if that would help, but i don't think that had any affect because the app sent me over to GS for the approval.

I will keep up the heavy spending because they do appear to be generous with the credit lines and I really would like a few in the 20-30k level. I have transfered as many of my monthly autodraft utilities to the card to make sure there is a base amount of usage. It is nice to finally be back at the level I was pre-recession of 08. For a long time I was just a debit card user, much like how I PIF using my AMEX since they allowed me back in after a 10 year blacklist.

I have had the Schools First card for about 5 years (Member for 12 years). I asked for an increase about 2 years after that and they declined. I did still have some collections showing unpaid at the time. Right now the collections are paid and my utilization is about 4% on only two accounts.
