Auto cli Merrick Bank

I started wtith a hooters card a year or 2 ago at $500, when they switched over to Merrick I got my first cli of $200, seems like every 4-5 they have been giving me an additional $200, card is up to $1100 today

Congrats!!! I cannot believe they gave me increase also! I logged in and noticed they gave me a 400 increase today! thought for sure they would react to me opening 3 new accounts in the last 3 months...im up to 1250 with them now...hehe.

As long as you use it you'll get CLI's. I've stopped getting them on my old hooter's card as I don't use it anymore but I do have another one that I believe is an old Geico but could be ESPN, not sure, but anyways still use it and it gets regular CLI's. Up to over $3k on it. Hooters topped out at $1900 but like I said I stopped using it.

They aren't Hooters cards anymore, they are now just plain black Merrick cards. I've got two now. Can't remember what the other started as but if memory serves it was a Geico card.

So, the old HOOTERS design/logo is gone? I remember back in the day when Merrick was giving these out like crazy... then, they stopped issuing them. I never had one, but it was just interesting to see folks plop down that infamous CC.

I've had my regular Merrick since Aug '12. Started at $1k, still at $1k. I put a few hundred or more on I per month and pay off the new statement balance most of the time.

I just got a pre-selected for a $500 Merrick Bank card today in the mail and I am considering fully applying. They said they will double the like to 1k, after the 7th payment. No prob, I will PIF like my other cards. I am almost 3 months out of my Ch7 BK, I have 2 Cap 1 cards that have been reporting for almost 3 months now with a CC Util of 6%. I am going to keep it there, even if I get this card. I would like to have a total of 4 cards, as I want a WM one as well for the FICO and sorts. Have yall had great luck with the company? Plus, what FICO score comes with this every month? TY

Yeah they are quite good for CLIs as long as you use the card.

Its the TU08 Fico "Bankcard-Auto Enhanced score".

@Delta, I highly recommend Merrick as a rebuilder. I think their CLI led to better CLs for me

Congratulations! I also started with a Hooters card in 09 and was transferred to Merrick Bank. I started at $400 and I am still at $400 plus the $4 a month fees. I have all the major cards now with very high limits I hope I am next for a CLI. I only keep them for the monthly fico score.

Aren't you able to get those from Discover and Wally Discover?

Yes. I also get them from Walmart Discover and regular Discover. I am will probably close it in a few months after I purchase a home. They baffle me as to I can get 1% financing on my suv and 7000 credit limits on my cards and no CLI from Merrick.
