Cap1 & IKEA Projekt CLI

I've had my Capital One Platium card for 3 months now so decided to request a CLI, requested $600 but they countered the famous $100 increase. Not surprised but I went ahead and took it. haha Then for the heck of it, I went on my IKEA Projekt card that I've had for a couple of months and only spent $125 and pressed the love button and they gave me a $3000 increase!

Cap1 $300>$400 new limit

IKEA Projekt $5500>$8500 new limit

@gdale6 Thank you and yeah I don't understand it either. I was debating whether to take it or not but I doubt a better offer would have happened later.

You are correct, a better offer would not come. You should search "cap one upgrade link" on Google and follow it. You may be in line to change your Platinum to a QS. It'll be the same terms and limit but you'll earn 1.5% cash back.

Yup. It sounds like you may have a credit steps card. If so, then yes. Most of those cards became eligible for the change at around three months, as well as half of the credit steps CLI from $300 to $500. Thus you'd get half the increase, $100, plus the changeover, and at the end of steps you'd get the remaining $100 of the steps increase.
