Called Macys this AM, requested CLI had 600 limit, now up to 1200. Not bad for the 5 minutes on the phone! Go Macy's!

Nice, I have never called them and they increased my limit little by little from $300 to $1,700. Won't budge from there, But I don't want to call them lol.

Awesome, congrats! Macy's must be feeling generous, they auto increased me from 800-1000 after 6 months, and I barely use the card.

Congrats! Shoot, I've been stuck at a $100 limit for nearly 3 years. I probably could get it increased, but don't want the HP as I don't really use the card.

Call the BDN, theyll tell you before the do a HP. Theyre really nice.

Just open a secure chat and request a CLI, I don't think I've ever seen a HP reported on these boards for a CLI from Macy's. I've done a few and they have always been SP's.

I did that and the Rep told me it would be a hard pull and that they didn't have any way around it, but I knw Macy's gave me an increase from $1000 to $1500 last year without an inquiry... Is the rep just saying that iincorrectly or did it change?

Ive heard that they will say that but in the end it will be a SP, My mom and dad reqeusted a cli and it was a SP.

EDIT: even the ugrade to AMEX was a SP even tho it was denied.

FWIW, back in December i requested a CLI from Macys via secure chat and received a $500 cli with a sp only. Had only had the card a few months

Um, I just tried via chat...and was told that it would be a HP no matter what. I told her never mind and asked how often Macy's gives auto CLI and she said every 6 months. Hmmmmm..we shall see; I opened the account in 11/2013 and I have spent lots lately.

They always say it will be a HP, but I have never had one. I think that is what they are told to say. Just so you know I have never had a auto CLI from Macy's but I do tend to ask every six months or so.
