Long time lurker, couldn't get the Apple Card approval even at 700. Tried the shopping cart trick and it worked! Low apr too.

I've been trying to get an Apply Card all year and ID verification has been an issue for me. I got a new driver's license (I don't driver due to seizures, so this wasn't a priority and then the pandemic closed the DMV). Then, it still would't take it. Then, I figured out that I had to incorrectly include my suffix in the last name field of my application to get my ID accepted. Then, I applied last Sudnay, it was still pending on Wednesday and they couldn't tell me why, so I asked them to cancel the application, unlocked Chex Systems and re-applied on Wednesday (12/16). Pending again! Still pending now.

This isn't the frst time someone has said the SCT works with AppleCard, so I may try it next. I also noticed they sometimes pull CoreLogic, but didn't get it last time (according to TransUnion).

How much was in your cart?

What was your SL (starting limit)?

How does this compare to other cards?

For both, it is a soft pull to get an offer. Then a hard pull if you accept.

I had the same problem, couldnt get approved due to bankruptcy, once I passed 2 years that fell off the denial but they would decline for recent missed payments even though they were related to bankruptcy 2 years prior. I went to purchase a new macbook pro and applied for apple card with the laptop in my cart and was instantly approved. This was literally the day after I was declined. SCT is a real thing.

I apologize! Looks like I had more than 1 account so the former is closed. But my score is 681. 2 baddies on Ex that fall off in a few months! Under 10% UTIL. I was constantly being denied for "You have recently been past due" car loan from a accident that falls off in Jul 2021. As far as the Shopping cart trick. I loaded 2 Macs in my cart and went to the checkout and logged in and upon completing the app it gave me a $2000 SL. 17.99 apr.
