FNBO approval from mailer

So once again I am reinforcing the fact that my gardening skills are such that artificial plants wouldn't stand a chance with me.

I recently got a mailer with a preapproval code for the prime-rate Visa card. Been going back and forth on it, whether to take it or not (I received a mailer last fall from FNBO also but did not take it).

After a lot of terrifically helpful info from @Jnbmom based on her experiences with them (again, thank you VERY much), I decided to go ahead and jump on it. Going to be doing a kitchen remodel soon and I'm not comfortable putting that much money in supplies on my Synch-backed Lowe's card. I'll divide it between that one, Home Depot, and this card instead.

Anyhow, info entered on the site, five seconds of spinny wheel and got the news.

I can't complain a bit. Honestly I'm surprised it was that much, given my past 8 months of credit accumulation. It was an EX HP (specifically Bankcard 09 from my reading, which my 3B report this morning said was 762). Scores in sig are accurate. Happy to take it

So from the title of the thread I realized you received the FNBO mailer and anticipated what would on being this post is in the approval section.

When I started to read the first sentence of your post but not yet finished that sentence, I thought of the Jerry McGuire movie immediately. Then I started to laugh my butt off 🤣🤣😂😂😅😄☺

Lol I'll admit it was kinda like that when I saw the APR of 3.25% - this card says its APR matches the prime rate permanently. Kind of hard to not do it!

Thank you to all. I really was trying to be good and not app (famous last words here) so I could get some quiet time before my second Navy card app. So much for that. This one was worth it for the APR and the SL though, and now I can put a bullet in my joke of a CapOne card too. And who knows, there may come a day when my EX report gets a breather. We'll see

Yeah it's pretty crazy. Even on the mailer it's printed in big letters and numbers that the APR will be 3.25%. I've never seen such a low APR before. BT all the things!

Yes, $89 IIRC. That does boost the effective APR of course, but then I have a higher AF on my Surpass with a 20%+ APR and a much smaller CL, so...

Yeah that permanent Prime Rate APR is a no-brainer AF or not!
