I just got by far the largest CLI I have ever recieved. I had an offer for an additional card which I don't really need, so I requested that the pre-approved $35,000 amount got added to my existing Piower Cash rewards card which had a $15,000 limit. I can't believe it......new limit $50,000

I had opened Penfed checking , savings and credit card account(Cash Rewards) back in May 20 with a starting CL of $15,000. I do not use the checking account, just have some money sitting there to get the 2% rewards. I have about $7,500 in the savings account. Household income is about $150,000.I have been charging an average of $400/mo on the card since I got it. My scores according to Credit karma(vantagescore 3.0) are TU 728 EQ 734. I had a BK 7 back in March 2013 and am living proof that you can bounce back. The $50,000 limit is by far my largest limit, I do have a discover It card with a $35,000 limit and have been scratching my head about that one until this happened.

Congratulation...Well-done. By the way, the offer you got for an additional card (was for which card/loan, though) popped up on your online account, right? If so, then how long after opening of account it appeared? Did you have to call them over the phone to add the pre-approved offer amount to your existing card or did you do it online? No POI requested so far?? Further, data-point strongly suggests that they don't put more than $25k in one card, at least for new account-holders since early of last year unless they have changed back to their previous UW. They did offer to a few people like this last year, but then did rescinde the offer a few days later unless someone was a grandfather in opening the account. So, having this kind of offer is one thing, but getting and keeping thiis without being rescinding it is another thing. Have you given a time to see how all goes or is it just happened a day or so ago only? Nevertheless, very happy for ya....

Very happy for you and hate to rain on the parade...but if you wouldn't mind....confirming in a day or so if in fact the entire CLI was provided onto 1 account. I write this because, several DP's have stated that accounts that were opened within the last year or so were ineligible of exceeding $25,000 maximum credit limit on any card. Several have posted that what appeared to be "approved" was not in fact provided because of this relatively new restriction. Several people with older accounts were able to get it...but accounts opened last year were not. Some have posted that their system allowed the approval but executing on it was a different story.

@Aim_High had posted extensively on this.

I certainly hope you get it..I'd like to get it too...so confirmation would be great. Thanks
