USAA Approval

Well as the title says I was approved for the USAA AMEX card. So I was looking to add to my profile with a rewards card for dining out as we do a lot of that. So i was looking at the BOA rewards card and USAA as well. But I chose to go with USAA cause I believe in the long run they will be a better fit for my future needs. Now I will post my approval notice from USAA and I'd like some feedback on the SL. I read that USAA is pretty conservative on their SL. So can someone please confirm if my SL is decent? I mean to be honest in my opinion I'm happy with it cause from what I have read it will grow every 180 days if I so desire to take a HP. So with ending I'd like to thank everyone single one of you who contributes to this great forum for the help in knowledge and your own experiences with your credit journey. And with that being said I hope everyone has a great rest of your week and great weekend. PS I'd like to ask another question is USAA like with some other banks that you can use the same HP for other products wishin a certain time frame?

While I don't have a lot of experience with them...about a year....from looking over your cards and scores, I will say that my scores are higher, I have more accounts and higher CL's than you...and I was given the EXACT SAME approval of $10K last year when I applied for the rewards card. Correct, CLI's are HP and while I personally have never seen any "offers" from them as I don't use them as my primary bank, my SO does...along with heavier usage on the card and receives offers for 0% and received an Auto-CLI around the 1 year mark. I have not taken another HP for a CLI as I haven't needed it and my usage on the card is low. All in all, I say that's a pretty good CL from USAA! Congratulations on your approval!! 🎉🥂

$10K is a good SL and they can be pretty generous with CLIs. My Amex was approved with an $8k SL with scores around the same as yours.

CLI 181 days later and they bumped it to $12K - so a 4k increase which, considering my somewhat high util and stupid number of new accounts at the time, was pretty generous. Haven't asked for another CLI in over a year tho because I don’t need it and idk how skittish they are with covid and all. This is my gas card (because 5% casback).

Yeah I was pretty happy with the SL so i really won't come close to using the limit so I'm good.
