Kind of bummed, was hoping for an instant approval. Income is around $32k/yr. My Wal-Mart FICO posted last week is 755.AAoA 4.5 years (mostly AU). Have around 3-4 inquiries under 1 year, 8(5 auto) in 2 years. One card at 1% utility all other card at 0%. Auto loan Feb 13 PIF in Sept 13.

Well seeing your last app was 12/31 and if you were approved I'd say you have some new accounts on your file which Barclay is very new account sensitive as well as inq.... Whats your TU inq look like thats who they pull..

Is this your first Barclaycard? Might just be for verification...that is what I get from all lenders and so far all approved after verification. Good luck!

Call the backdoor number tomorrow and talk with an analyst. That's what I did and I was approved.

Yes this is my first experience with Barclay. My TU shows 7 inquires (2-2012, 3-2013 all in Feb for auto loan, 1 Dec 2013 and now the Barclay). In Dec I was approved for the NFCU cash rewards.

Okay so those are auto loans. You should be able to explain that to the analyst. Their system is probably geared to have a manual review for inquiries over a certain amount (this is pure speculation..LOL).

So just call them and see what the deal is tomorrow.

7-10 days isnt always bad with Barclays. I got it when I applied for Arrival and chose to just let the application run its course vs. calling backdoor. I was approved about 2 days later, but if you're concerned about new accts at this point, I would not recommend having an analyst review your application - I have found them to be more conservative than the computers.

Agree with the other replies, it might just be verification. I applied this month and got the same message, I called the backdoor and it was just security questions they needed answered. My card is on the way!

I applied this morning No decision called backdoor number and all they wanted was to verify income, they also asked how I used my other cards. Then was transfer to security department had to answer couple questions. Found it kind of weird since I already have nfl visa

Sorry guys, no news to report. I forgot to call yesterday due to excessive Saint Patty day celebration. Got busy today and it slipped my mind. Would tomorrow to be too late? At this point I might let it play itself out. I wasn't supposed to apply for the card anyways.

Good news, just called them and was approved for $7,500. Apparently they were having a hard time verifying the cell phone number I provided. That's because the account is not in my name. Didn't know that would be a problem.
