Congratulations on the US Bank card platinum approval!

Use it well over time and think good usage + PIF can open new cards from US Bank with higher start limits. I started out with the same card and $2K line over 12 months. Their rather conservative so don't be put off if it takes them awhile. Next card with them usually is better is my experience. I product changed mine to another product when eligible and eeked out some CLI's. New card later was a smash! (And a Preapproval Mailer) They watch FICO Score rises

First congratulations in getting in with US bank. Yes calling underwriting for a Recon will be a hard pull and another inquiry. I have 2 cards with US bank they are the US cash+ visa and the Altitude go visa with a total cl of 39.5K. They do not want see to many Inquiry's on your reports. I f you want to grow your credit limits with US bank the first thing is open a checking account with them, if free if you have a credit card with them do meed to auto deposit to get free account. Second use card every month and pay it off each month, then at end of 12 months ask for cli it will be most likly a soft pull then apply for a another credit from US bank eather a Visa cash + or the Altitude go visa your choice, good luck.

Let me make this clear you do not need auto deposit into a US checking account to get free checking as long as you have credit credit with US bank.

It said to see hard pulls beeing wasted with US bank when not happy with initinal credit limit, just not except offer and call underwriting as long as the account is not in the process of beeing set up you can recon and go to manual review with only one hard pull.
