Cap 1 Plat MasterCard convert to QS but did not increase CL.

Happy Friday everyone. This is my first post here. I've been enjoying reading all the good information for weeks so decided to join in the discussion some. I have had the Cap 1 Plat MC for about 10 years with a $500 credit limit. I recently recieved an pre app for a QS in the mail. I called in today and they converted the old MC to the QS no questions.

What surprised me is when I asked about the CL he said it would stay the same. When I told him $500 is way too low for my credit profile he had me go to the website to ask for an upgrade. I got the standard, note about a review and sending me a letter.

I've never had good luck with these "letters" so I'm wondering if I should call the backdoor numbers now or wait for the letter to come then call. Any advise is appreciated.

Message them on Facebook asking for a CLI, they will ask you for your phone# and a good time to call. They'll verify a few things with you. Or, you can email the EO but FB seems quicker.
