Apple and NFCU Cash Reward approvals

Decided to come out of my two year gardening and app for the Apple card March 5th and my second NFCU credit card (Cash Rewards) March 28th. I was approved for both.

Apple approval $3,000 21.99% APR

NFCU $20,000 12.99% APR

Data points

Utilization: 84% (This does not include two new cards. Not reporting yet)

AAOA: 11yrs 8months

AOOA: 22yrs 2months

four other credit cards and 31 student loans.

Total credit limit: $51,750

Total inquires: Only one inquiry on Transunion. (Used the pre-approval trick for apple card so I did not get a inquiry)

Clean report. No baddies on report.

Current FICO 8 scores are in sig. (I believe my transunion is lower because 11 of my student loans are not reporting and they are my oldest accounts.)

Currently working to lower utilization by end of year by using the snowball method. Per the FICO stimulator, if I pay off credit cards, my score will be 804.

My goal is to app for a travel rewards card, when I get my utilization down.

Congrats on your two approvals. Definitely get that utilization down! It's astronomically high. It will make a world of difference around the 10% mark on your score.
