Barclaycard Arrival Approval!

Hello all, first time poster. A long week at work with a lot of downtime eventually led me to these forums. I've been hooked reading them for the past few days.

I've been in the garden since May 2012 and decided to apply for a new card. My Discover FICO score was 801 so I figured I'd have a good shot at getting approved. I read all the good things that people had to say about the Arrival card so I went for it.

I applied for the no AF version of the card and was approved instantly with a 5k limit. Haven't received it yet, but super excited to get it.

After that success I product changed my old Discover More to a Discover It, and my old Capital One Platinum to a Quicksilver. I might try for a few credit limit increases in the coming days, I just have to search the forums a little more for some tips about getting that done.

I never knew that learning about credit could actually be kinda fun!

Thanks! I'm a little sad that I'll be leaving the 800 club after the HP for the appliction and hit on my AAoA, but hopefully I can get back up there soon.

How much of a decrease do scores take with 1 HP and a decrease in AAoA?

Same here i just got a new TL that will be reporting next month and will also more and likey knock me out of the 800 club also. A HP around 3 -5 points ( I did not check my score after the HP ). I don't know how much for the new TL will decrese my score ( i will keep you updated )
