Mannnnnnnn have I been getting good news lol!!!! So I'm still working on my credit but I been having a bunch of questions when it comes to Amex (which all you guys answered by the way Thanks) you guys have been giving me so much useful information but long story short I've been checking Amex site for pre quals, on a daily just to see what they would be willing to give me even knowing my credit isn't the greatest but it recently went up about 80pts today I was laying down and did the pre qual, and I noticed it took a little longer then every other time, it finally comes up and what pops up a pre qual for a delta sky miles gold card with 75,000 miles if I spent 2k in purchases the first 2 months, Man I'm excited I finally entered the Amex family and I did it on my own with the help of you guys of course Thank you Folks

I had a couple of late payments 9 to be exact so I sent a goodwill letter and it got approved so 9 late payments came off my credit report I had 3 on my capital one platinum and 6 on my capital one qs so now that they're off my payment history is 100% plus I paid down a huge chunk of my balances so I'm guessing that's what made it shoot up so now I'm at a 677 Experian the others I can't see because I don't have any premium accounts that I can check my fico score the only one I have only shows my vantage score

Lol what's dp you gotta excuse me I'm stil new to the group so I don't know any of the abbreviations. But my credit score sucked for a good min but then I finally put in the work to get it up I recently just got my payment history back to 100% due to some goodwill letters from capital one I had 3 cards with the most recent being discover it but it's a secured card so I'm waiting on it to graduate, I have a capital one plat, capital one quicksilver, the platinum being my oldest card 6 years in and I just recently applied for the credit one Amex and got approved for that so I'm waiting on them to ship that card and I recently was checking on Amex and found a pre qual for the delta gold sky miles card which is on its way. I have only 2 inquiries on my credit report now because they were all wiped clean and I still have 2 collections on my report which I'm trying to get removed now so that mostly sums up my story lol

DP's are data points. Basically your scores, current cards, any derogatory information such as lates or charge offs, etc. It helps the forum to know your profile so that others in the same position can gauge if they might get approved.

@Herb8108 Thank you for sharing your DPs, they can always be really helpful to others trying to apply for the same card as you. When you reply back to a message, feel free to hit the "Quote" button too, as it will quote the message you are replying to and make it easier for everyone to figure out which reply goes to which message. Also here is a list of common abbreviations used on the forums, hope it helps!
