Chase Freedom Flex

Declined for a Freedom Unlimited on 12/04 or 12/05.

Declined again for Freedom Flex on 02/12.
Knowing I should give it more time, but too impatient to wait, I tried again just now and they finally let me in the door.
My highest limit on any of my cards! Still can't break the $10k ceiling, but getting very close.

EDIT for DP:
I know they pulled Experian. My FICO 8 was 748. (Went down to 743 after this pull.)
5/24? This makes me about 5/5.
Inquires 4/6, 5/12.
AoOA 6.5 yrs
AAoA 3.6 yrs

Income $52k

EDIT EDIT: Once I finally got into my account on their website, I see they had an old address for me in Dallas. Haven't lived there since the mid-nineties. I didn't think I ever had a Chase account before. Maybe they acquired some other bank with which I did have an account. I had a BK back in the late nineties. So I probably burned Chase 20-some years ago and didn't know it. Probably explains why they've been so reluctant to approve me for a credit card. The SL still surprises me a little, especially if I did burn them in the past. It was an instant-approval too.

Congrats on your Chase Freedom Flex . . . $9,100.00 SL is a heck of a better SL than the $300.00 Chase gave me -and- I still have the card 10 years later and no auto CLI over that period . . . SMH @ Chase!!!

Have you requested a CLI? I'm new to Chase and have been just trying to get one of their cards. I haven't paid much attention to the process of getting increases.

I'm still a little shocked at my recent successes. After struggling for years to get any kind of credit, then getting a little and watching it grow oh-so-slowly for many years. After paying down most of my debt over the past year or so and paying attention, reading about credit, watching YouTube videos, and working the system for the past 5 months or so, I've seen sudden increases that I wouldn't have believed possible a year ago.

In early December, I had five credit cards with a total credit limit of $15,370.

Now I have nine cards with a total limit of $42,950.

I've almost trippled my limits in a little over five months. It's probably time to take gardening a little more serious.
