NFCU nRewards Secured card Graduated

...I received my secured nRewards card in Aug 2020; It JUST graduated to a CashRewards Visa yesterday (5/28) with a $2k Credit line..So at 4am (5/29), I took a leap and requested another CLI to $7500 (currently waiting on them to respond back) and I also applied for the GoRewards card. I was instantly approved for $25k, and they pulled my TU9 and Equifax.....

My question is, how long should I wait to apply for a LOC or another CLI on the CashRewards card🤔

@Anonymous, Congratulations on your approval and graduation!

On your new card "GoRewards" you can ask @ 91/3 (91 days and 3 FULL statements.)

LOC is a completely different department, so it really should not matter, when you apply?

As far as you card graduating, you could ask at 91/3 after graduation (it does not hurt)

Having no personal experience with secure cards, it is possible the may make you wait 181 days for a CLI?

Make sure to ask for CLI's on the phone app or website, as phone in request can lead to a "HP".

Maybe someone with more experience on "secure" cards can give you a better answer?

Congrats on graduation and approval of the new card! Not to burst your bubble though, but the newly graduated card won't be approved for a CLI for 6 months, since the graduation includes a CLI, and Navy only approves a CLI every 6 months.

Thank you so much and I think I will wait until at least September to request a CLI. Regarding the LOC, I'll dig into that a bit further to see if they'll approve 🤷‍♀️

Thank you so much. And you know, I was afraid of that, but I've read elsewhere that many ppl were getting their $2k immediately increased, so it didn't hurt to try. Still keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

Congratulations on your graduation and that Go Rewards approval, that's a hot one there!

You'll have to wait at least 181 days for a CLI on the Cash Rewards. The graduation increase counts as a new CLI.
