American Express Approval

Just Got approved for American Express rose gold card. I just recently got approved for the Amex blue cash card. Hope this wasn't a hp. I'm happy for the approval my 1st time with a charge card.

Should be a SP if You Already Have Cards with them, Fresh App is Probably a HP,

Congrats on the approvl!! While an HP is possible odds are that it was a SP.

Regardless, an approval does tend to take away any sting that comes from getting a HP, so no worries

Amex rarely HP's on subsequent card approvals. If they did, it'll be on EX.

It's not exactly rare. Several of the regulars here have experienced it firsthand and we do see an occasional comment from more transient members.

I haven't had a HP from Amex since my BCE in 2017. I rememeber seeing a handful of posts where they did HP but it was a small fraction out of all the Amex approvals that I've seen?

Did they kick it up recently and I missed it?
