Amazon Prime Rewards - Out Of The Garden

Hi everyone

I was doing my almost daily shopping on Amazon today and I saw that they now have a $150 SUB for their prime rewards card, I pulled the trigger and got the approval.

Strange thing - the pop up screen that said i was approved said I had a $5k SL - and so did the email confirmation.

I thought it was a bit stingey, but it is what it is, so whatever

I then logged in to my Chase account and saw the account showing a $13,500 limit (more inline with my F.U card) - I'm assuming my Chase account should reflect the actual CL?

Also, I have $13,700 CL available on the F.U card - i literally run under $100 a month through it, will Chase be willing to close the account and swap all or part of the cl to the new Amazon card?

Yes, typically a temporary limit is assigned until you confirm receipt of your card. Enjoy the rewards!

With Chase you can move credit around but 500 has to remain on the account you move it from.

Congratulations on your approval!!! Yes, Chase will let you transfer credit from one card to another.It is just a call to CS. A lot of people say it is far easier to open a new account with Chase than actually get a CLI. In a few months (when I am under 5/24), I will be strolling into a branch hoping for a pre-approved offer soley to use as a CLI.

Thanks everyone, we got the DW hooked up with the Amazon card today too - I shall be calling them tomorrow and transferring as much of the SL from the F.U card to the Amazon card and then closing out F.U, My overall util is right around 1%, so no biggie to close it out. I appreciate your guidance ref CL swap, thanks again
