Propel approval

I had been lamenting about how I wanted to cancel my Green card for the Propel but then they stopped accepting applications and someone told me you can apply through a referral link. I was nervous because I just got the SDFCU 2% siggy for $10k. But I got that itch and applied. They pulled Equifax (I'm in Pa) and approved me for $2k...I'll take it! 20,000 points + my $200 for SDFCU ...The app went right to pending next day I called and they said underwriting was still deciding, then this morning I looked at my WF app and it was in there! I do have a Wells Fargo checking that I was just about to close when they stopped taking apps for Propel. My Equifax score is 744 with 3 inquiries only 1 was in the past year. Now I want that new Citi jawn but I don't want to push my luck. Maybe I'll wait until these new accounts are 6 months old.

Man, I'm totally out of the loop. They stopped taking Propel apps?? Is this temporary? Congrats on your approval and getting in while you still can.

Yeah they paused applications. You can only apply with a referral link.

Congratulations on your approval!!! Propel is a nice little card with a good rewards return rate and SP CLI requests every 6 months. They want to see use though or they will say no (I know this from expereince). I grew some other cards first and I am now starting to focus on some of my neglected cards like my Propel.

Oh it'll get used! I live in the city, I don't own a car so my subway/bus pass is going on there. And after I use my Gold card Uber credit my Uber will go on that. So even when I'm done reaching the sign up bonus I'll still be putting some decent regular spend on it.
