Discover CLI 9 Months In!

Every time I hit the luv button I got denied for the same reason. So I stopped doing it because I knew during covid they were not giving out CLIs until the 1 year mark. Today I read an approval thread of a poster who got one early after they requested so I thought why not give it a try? Smashed the button and got an increase from $9500 to $13,000! I am over the moon right now! My very first card to pass the $10k mark which was a goal of mine! Everyone who got a young discover should hit that button now! The covid discover days are over!

Thanks everyone and I didn't take it personally I knew it was the banks just being cautious. It's back to the old discover now.

I freaking luv u right now. I've been getting no love from disco but I figured it's cuz I don't spend much (used it mainly for balance transfer). Immediately after reading your post, went straight to disco and lo and behold, I get "you're approved for $3000 CLI". I'm like whaaaaat. 🎊

Congratulations on the Discover love! $3,500 is indeed generous. Do you put a lot of spend on it? They just finally gave me a $500 increase after 13 months of denials.

Congratulations @Anonymous it feels good to have a card with growth potential! I average about $1300-$1700 as of the last few months. In the beginning it was closer to $2k per month because I had less cards at that time so I charged more to it. Since it's 3% first year I pay rent with it because it nets me an extra $6 even though there is a convenience fee that is about 2.2%.

I love my discover card more now that I can get CLIs! For a while I was kind of disappointed with the path it took during the covid era. I was seeing so much love from others and when I got it the covid ruined it temporarily.
