NFCU More Rewards Approval

Opened a NFCU savings and checking account 2/22 this year for the sole purpose of getting in with them as I'd heard they had good rewards cards. Turns out they do meet my spend needs.

Same day the checking and savings was opened, I logged in and applied for the cash rewards card. Got approved for a $1k SL. Was super bummed, but got over it. I then requested an increase at 91 days as they suggested. Got a $2k increase. So cash Rewards card is at $3k. I put a tad over $3k spend on it since I opened it and PIF. Spend a little only $3k cus the SUB. It was $150 after $3k spend.

I was/am in the rebuild phase until mortgage time late next year. FICO8 scores are 700 range (started low low 500's on 10/20), so I'm on a a dirty scorecard and figured what the heck.

Since my rebuild, I've added 5 (now 6) revolving lines and my mortgage scores have actually gone up. Just wanted one more before actually gardening. Don't need it, just wanted. I know. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I really had no intention of using the checking or savings other than to send money to make the CC payments. I have a local CU, but they offer zero revolving lines. Boring. So the $5 currently in my account didn't factor in their decision.

Biggest SL for sure. APR is whatever as I PIF.

They pulled TU

Gonna love the groceries and gas station 3%!

It's the main reason I got this card.

It took 3 days for mine to show up in the app. I did apply on Friday and it showed on Monday I believe.

I also got an email during the weekend with a link that gave me access to the card to add to my virtual wallet and did so immediately. Already got the 10k SUB and haven’t even received the card yet haha.
