First AMEX

Have been slowly rebuilding my credit over the past five years, at which point I had a low score of around 500. I am now up to 777 FICO 8 and have gotten a few good cards (Discover, Navy) and done away with some not so good ones (Credit One). Applied last week for my first American Expresss and got the Blue Everyday cash, with $8,000 limit. I have always wanted an AMEX card😊.

Congratz to your first Amex!! I am actually surprised you went last with them, they turned out for me to be the first ones to approve me after my secured card :-) You'll love their "Offers" section in the app, I've gotten some hefty cashback there, it's worth checking every now and then for their latest offers.

An Amex is my goal card. I've got too many inquiries right now and I need to lay low right now, at least for a year/year and a half. I got carried away with the inquiries once my scores started to rise and I got a few approvals. It got to be like an addiction.
