Apple Card Approval 3k ---> increased to 4.5k

TU was 704, 9 inquries, wow/24, 19%, hh income 100k

DW used her apple card w/ 9.5k to buy new ipad, while waiting to ship I app'd & got SP pre-approval for 3k, accepted. I do not currently have any apple products; DW a longtime iphone user. I'm a member of her apple family. I'll register the ipad under my apple id for a while when it arrives.

2 month strategy here is to make significants payments on DW apple card before statement cuts end of month, DW request CLI & get approved, then merge both our Apple cards as joint-owners, DW almost has 1 year of account history.

Question for the apple card pros please...

Froze my TU report after accepting & seeing the account opened. I received a creditkarma email that a freeze blocked a hard inquiry. I can currently login into the apple card website and shows 3k available.

Will apple ask me to unfreeze my TU or is my account good?? any info would be greatly appreciated

Yes I will post after both apple card accounts are merged. Merging 2 apple cards into a Co-Owner account is a new apple family feature. It's a major bonus that whichever account has the longer history takes over the account history for future reporting.

After spending on a new ipad & repaying more than half the balance I am confident DW will get approved for CLI in next in next 60 days for sure, hopefully 30. It will probably only be a 1k CLI like DW's only previous CLI. I figure that it's an easy opportunity to add 4K to DW apple card account & I'll add a 14k account with 12 months reporting to my file.

another caveat*** maybe there's a chance I've been approved with SP because I froze my TU after apple approved my account??? I received a creditkarma email yesterday that Apple/GS unsuccessfully tried to HP my TU. My account currently shows open. I was prepared to take the HP on my TU but if somehow I avoid it that's definitely a bonus.

Received the ipad last week & requested my apple card. Card arrived today in mail & as soon as I activated my apple card in new ipad apple wallet app my limit was increased to 4.5K. That was sweet.

Also we're almsot 4 weeks after approval & no HP showed up so pretty confident this is a SP apple card approval. Also sweet.
