Approved CLI - FNBO Ducks Unlimited

Called today to see if I was eligible for a SP increase and got an instant approval for $3,000, bringing my CL to $11,000.

Monthly spend is usually around $140-200, primarily for gas stations.

All three credit scores range from 776-787

INQ 0/12, 1/24 (May 2020, also date of last new account)

I've hesitated to ask for any CLI's since grandfathered into the 5%, was always afraid somehow they might retract my grandfather status for "credit seeking behavior", or something like that. Been trying to stay under the radar really. But after talking to a couple of people here on the forum, they stated they have continued to get steady increases since then, so I decided to give it a go. Haven't had an increase since Jan. 2020 so it was definitely due. I know you can request CLI every 4 months with them, but don't think I'm going to push my luck that thin....lol....might give it another 8-10 mths before I try again.

@unsungivy I believe there are some gas cards out there that include EV now aren't there? Whether there are any 5% is another question entirely, but I would imagine it's on the close horizon if not already out there. I'm always concerned about that Ducks card losing grandfather status....keeping PenFed 5% and PNC 4% on my "ready-list" just in case...lol.

It seems dependent on the brand of EV charger, from what I've been able to find so far. It's been reported that on CSP, for example, ChargePoint billed as Travel. EvGO billed as Bills & Utilities. I feel like I read that AmEx BCP will code something as Transit, but I can't remember which brand. (I just got both cards, so will end up seeing I guess.) I have AOD anyways, so that's 3% regardless. But would still like to know.

It's not a huge deal because I get free charging in the garage at my office (when a charger is free), and thanks to new Elan card will get 5% off my elec bill at home.

It just feels weird to not have Gas been a spend I NEED 5% on! P2 has the USAA AmEx for 5% gas (and 5% military base purchases), but that caps at 3k a year (which, based on our rough math, covers him easily even with an hour commute to and from the base).
