HSBC Cash Rewards "SP" CLI $1700 **Approval

Been a long time since I asked for a CLI on HSBC Cash Rewards.

Kept getting an online "ERROR" with the CLI love button.

So I used the "Chat Feature" they told my to try online,

I said been there/Done that. Rep took my income and housing info

Came back $1700.00 CLI ...(so far No HP alerts)

CL is now $25,450.00

Reason probably removed is isnt Citizen bank taking over their portfolio of CC's? Regardless congrats on the CLI

I believe that is correct, from what I have read..

"IF" you are on the west coast, then Cathay is taking over those accounts.

I cannot be 100% sure of that, as the deal is not completed yet. Just what I have read.

(I am on the West Coast)

I have had no dealings with Cathay, so unsure how CLI's would be treated in the future.

Also unsure as to what the cards might convert to. Just going to sit tight, and let it play out.

I chatted with HSBC rep a few days ago and asked which bank would be taking over my credit card as I don't live near either coast. I sort of figured Citizens but wanted to know for sure. He told me that my Cash Rewards MasterCard would remain with HSBC. I'll see if I can find the chat log and post it here.
