Chase in a giving mood with the Amazon Prime?

Looking through my emails and surprised by what I see. I'm guessing with my AARP going away soon, prompt the CLI? Limit was $9000 now $20k. I've never received a CLI from Chase in 14 plus years.

Congrats on that increase @Gmood1! Chase wants you to be able to buy the whole whole foods store. My husband had a cl of $8900 and they bumped it to $35,000. Either they are trying to give amazon customers more spending so amazon dosent leave them or they're making the portfolio not appealing to other banks.

they gave me 10k too, from 3 to 13. My AARP card was closed a couple of years ago. Kind of annoying because I rarely shop at Amazon, and am probably pushing the total credit Chase will give me so I'd have trouble opening a new Chase card

Very giving mood! I went from $2k to $17.3k this past weekend. Chase is going insane with this card.

Yes, I got that too! My numbers are in the same ballpark as yours. My total Chase SL was already well over 50% of my income. The thought is that it has something to do with the possible move of the Prime card from Chase to Amex.

While I don't need it, I'm glad for the increase if for no other reason than to have more flexibility for moving to other cards. I'd like to get a couple more Chase cards, and I was wishing for a bit more breathing room. Now I have it.

You and I aren't the only ones though. This happened to a lot of people. Here is a Reddit thread about it. The post even gets some info from myFICO.

Nice one G. This was my biggest credit regert ever, closing my Amazon Siggy too early. With how Chase is throwing $ around, my luck would be my $1500 cc would have become 15k lol. Worse part is the dang card is under 5/24 which really dampens the mood, no pun intended haha😁
