Chase Sapphire Preferred App (Update: APPROVED)

I just applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred online. Initially, I went to a local branch to apply but was told there is a known problem sometimes and an app won't go through. The bank was near closing so the banker asked if I could come back and he could create a new profile for me. I found that strange, but he said it happens from time to time. Ultimately, I decided not to go back in and applied online.

I wasn't instantly approved or denied. I received a, "We have received your request for a Chase credit card. We'll let you know our decision as soon as possible", message.

Now I'm wondering if I should call in to verify information or wait it out.

I feel like I may have pulled the trigger too soon, but what's done is done. Should I call or wait it out?

Shortly after receiving the message that my application was being reviewed I called the app status line. Got 7-10 day message. Decided to call backdoor recon line. They verified my identity and approved for $5000. I'm happy to have the approval, regardless of the base SL
