Citi CLI (edited title for typo) --- APPROVED!

Hi everyone, I am nearing my 6 month mark on my Citi. Do I request for a CLI when the statement cuts or can I request it now? According to the "date opened" on my CR, I should be past the 6 month mark but my 6th statement has not cut yet. I want to get this squared away before my AL reports.

Also, I have a balance on it (because it is at 0%, I am paying it slowly but surely). Will this affect the CLI request?

I don't know if the balance will affect, people have had results with balances showing.

And I would just go ahead and try -- the site will tell you if you're eligible for a SP CLI.

The online form states that a credit report will be pulled so I think i will be a hard pull. Should I go ahead and put in my info then proceed to the next screen?

Oh and I just realized that the thread title reads "Cii CLI". Lol. My typing skills are awful.

Citi likes balances. 6 months from date open should be fine. You can tell by the verbiage on the CLI page if it will be SP or HP ahead of time.

I would call and ask if you are eligible for a SP increase.

I applied when my 5th statement had cut in Jan and was declined. The reason was too many new accounts since account opening(6 new accounts). At the time I was denied, I had a balance reporting of $360..which would've been exactly 30% of my Citi limit. I did not wait for an update to the credit bureaus so don't know if they saw more. I was thinking they'd pull their own system info?

I applied for a CLI late this month after my 7th statement cut and was instantly approved. The CRA had already been updated by then. I had a balance of $35 reporting.

I'm approaching my 8th month on my Citi and still no signs of CLI yet. I've been pressing the luv button for a while but it seems like Citi is still using the same SP from February.

Patience brings sweet rewards! I clicked on the luv button today and FINALLY got the message that "no credit report will be pulled" for a CLI.....and got a 1500 increase!! Yahoo!!!

Yes. My statement does not cut until late next week but I got the SP verbiage on April 1....and it wasn't an April Fool's joke. Lol.
