Apple Card approval

Well I've finally been approved with a 662 TU FICO 9 the only issue is the starting limit . Could it be that I have 13 inq ? This would be 14 if I bite . I honestly don't know if it's worth tryning to get CLI vs getting a higher SL . I would appreciate genuine advice .

Congratulations on your approval! It's definitely worth checking out user "Credit Aggie" 's journey with the Apple Card (sorry it won't let me tag them). In 2 years they went from a $250 limit to $12,000. It can grow very quickly!

I'd take it and ask for CLI every 6 months - that's what I have done and has grown to $7500.

Just remember to use it and PIF each month, after applying your 1/2/3 % cash back towards the statement due.

How long have you had the card, and what was you starting limit .

GS will be very accomodating with SP CLI's with good usage and PIF. Admittedly, starting at $850, it may take some time to hit $10K but it's a start and they make growth achievable.

I was approved just a few months ago in June 2021. My starting line was $10,000. I had at the time 31 inquries so its not your amount of inquries. My FICO score was around 775 at time of approval so I too was not happy with my low limit, for me it was low but like you, it should grow over time

I would definitely go for it! The Apple Card is a great card with the option for CLI every six months!

I was approved for the Apple Card in September 2019 with a $250 SL and no credit history. Here is a timeline of my CLIs:

• April 2020: $250 to $500

• July 2020: $500 to $1000

• October 2020: $1000 to $3000

• January 2021: $3000 to $6000

• April 2021: $6000 to $8000

• July 2021: $8000 to $12000

All CLIs were manually requested using the iMessage chat. When requesting a CLI, you won't be able to request a limit. GS will give you the limit they are comfortable with. I also recommend regularly using the card and PIF. When I had a $250 limit, I cycled the limit by paying it off multiple times a month. I have spent anywhere from $15 to $2600 a month on the card with the heaviest spend months resulting from purchasing Apple devices.
