Wells Fargo Active Cash Approval

Applied for the card just now and got a $6000 credit limit! I have only banked with wells Fargo so I have been with them for almost 16 years. Finally they came up with a credit card that I can actually use for my Cashback setup. I also applied for Citi custom cash but I got denied. Im not sure who it pulled because I don't see the inquiry yet. I may have been denied because it may have pulled the same bureau as the active cash card. I didn't do the apps at the same time there was about a 5 min gap in between.

Thanks everyone! I guess I need to wait about 3 months to reapply for the custom cash? Im thinking they maybe pulled from the same bureau and citi saw the inquiry and got scared.

Congratulations on the WF Cash. If you applied for the Cash card first and then the Citi card, that's probably the reason you were denied. I think Citi has a policy where they will deny any applications that have even 1 inquiry in the few days of one of theirs.

I wish I knew positively when would be the best time. Citi can get jumpy with this card and inquiries. Not sure why this card seems to have a harder chance at approval.

my suggestion is to wait about 6 months. That's just my 2 cents.

Congrats! I also got approved early last month with a credit limit of $30,000.
