Verizon Visa - CLI to $20K!

Timeline as follows:

- Approved for the card 6/27/20 with a SL of $5K

- 2/7/21 CLI to $7.5K (asked for $20K, countered)

- 5/10/21 CLI to $10K (asked for $20K, countered)

- 9/18/21 CLI to $20K (asked for $20K....got what I asked for)

I use the card monthly only for my cell phone bill. My total exposure with Synch is currently $40K with 2 cards, current fico scores unknown, last known TU was 752, BK7 on reports (8 yrs), no other negatives.

Well done. Within 15 months you have 4x your Credit Limit? VERY NICE!

So, this CC is responsible for 1/2 your exposure with Synch. Have you had any CLIs for any of the other Synch cards? Or just (quote unquote) with this one (as you have them listed)? And, was the timing intentional?

I have a Lowes card (provided by Synch) so I am looking for Data Points. And, yes, all credit profiles are very different. :-)

Congrats on your cli! I just got a cli on my Verizon Visa last week. It's now 10k (started at 5k.) I use the card all the time for grocery shopping as it gives 4% rewards. Of course I also use it for my Verizon bill, which is usually $50 a month lower due to my rewards.

I love this card. I do think that 40k Synchrony exposure on two cards is probably maxing your Synchrony exposure until you get a new card.

@lgtwriter , shoot, Ive had several more cards than just the two I currently have, and have had total exposure with them as high as $99.8K. So, $40K is mild, lol

Congrats on your Verizon Visa CLI @pizza1 -- very nice limit! Which is the other SYNCB card that you have? Btw, not sure how often you use your VZ card (besides your VZ bill) -- the backing on mine is starting to peel from the metal core 😳

I actually have 3 cards with them myself (Verizon Visa, B&H Photo financing card, and Paypal) I was thinking more that $25K per card is probably nearing the per card limit. (but I am just guessing)

I think their overall limit is $100k per threads I have read.

@HowDoesThisAllWork , Hey there...to answer your questions, I paired down my Synch cards a few years ago just because I had so many, and I was approaching near max total exposure with them. The other card I currently hold with them is my Sam's MC. I can give you run down on that one as well:

-1/14/16- Approved Sams MC temp SL of $1.8K. Waited to get card.

-1/25/16- Got card in mail, activated it, then called into Credit Solutions and asked for a CLI to $20K, countered at $12K.

-5/17/16- CLI to $15K (asked for $20K, countered)

-(Then nothing for a few years, despite several attempts)

-9/8/19- CLI to $20K (asked for $20K, got what I wanted).

-Have tried since then for a CLI, and I ask for $30K, denied. Letter says something about max limit for that card. I honestly dont read the letters anymore, lol. With Synch you always ask high because they will counter offer you what they can or what you're eligible for then.
