Lowes CLI (almost 2x)

Good afternoon, myFICO Forum mates!

Not a big deal, but something that I really wanted to do (and have a little bit of "ground to gain" in the near future) but I decided to just go for it today.

I clicked on the "Love Button" within my Lowes account, requested a 33% CLI increase (from $4,500 to $6,000) and was rewarded with the below:

I would love to have this baby up to $10,000 (the goal is to purchase a house in some 12 - 18 months) so that when I actually need the Credit Limit (have spent the last two days at Lowes 'window shopping' - HOLY TOLEDO things can cost a bunch of money! LOL) that I already have it.

So, likely going to try again for another CLI in five or six months (I do not want to get greedy....and do not need this CLIs right now...). Maybe in eight or 10 months....

As a data point for y'all, I have used the Lowes card each billing cycle, but have not spent more than $100 per cycle (I believe that I got really close to that in June, 2021). So, translation: not a lot of spend at all and still got some nice love!

This is my first Synchrony card in more than a decade (for full disclosure, the now ex-wife and I had a joint-account with Lowes back in the day).

Nice SL and Congrats! From my own personal experience Synchrony Lowes is forgiving. I burned them previously in my BK 13 and 2yrs ago they let me back in with a sizable limit. Unfortunately, I've been unsuccessful with CLIs.

However.....(drum roll) .... (snare)....(bass kick).... (high-hat....turn me up on my headphones)..... I hear folks get regular CLIs every 6mos and reached $30K - .

Nice! The ex-wife and I did not burn them (not saying anything here.....LOL) so no bad history for me there. Thank God! But good to know. So, sounds like Synchrony and Capital One are very forgiving in the event of........drum roll......snare.....snare.....snare.....bass boom!....said burn?

Good data points for people reading this (who might be new or unaware of Synchrony and how they 'finance' lots and lots of - if I might generalize - store cards outs there).
