Affinity Visa Signature Cash Rewards!! Can't Believe It!!

$12,500 SL made my day!! I joined Affinity a couple weeks ago thinking I'd establish a relationship to work up courage for apping their VS Cash Rewards down the road a bit. My inquiries are up there and I was certain it'd be a waste of a HP. A rep called me Tuesday to welcome me and ask if I had any questions about their offerings. Had a lengthy pleasant chat with her (half hour), asking all about the card, how the rewards work (even though MF has already educated me well LOL), explaining my concerns about the inquiries and new accounts. She said she could note the app that I opened Verizon for CB on my phone bill to try and explain away one. Told me I would definitely have to submit two paystubs as anyone under 6 mos relationship with them has to. I figured what the heck, I'll just try. I faxed the stubs right away and they backed up the 75K I reported . Got a call today and couldnt believe it. $12,500 @Anonymous.50%. This is now my second highest CL after my AMEX BCP and this broke the 200K TCL barrier for me! I know she didnt have control over final approval but can't help but feel the factors of spending that time showing so much interest and doing the app over the phone helped. So I guess i'm in unicorn club? 😂

@Titans84 in the last year- EQ3/TU5/EXP8. I still have confusion about how my mortgage shopping was counted, it got a little drawn out. Multiple new CC accounts opened in last 6 mos. I opened the SmartStart Savings and as a side note it can be funded up to 1K with a CC. Citi DC doesn't count it as a CA and I'm on 0% target promo with DC so that's a nice bonus.

I love how this worked out! Lots of posts about "offers" etc but less often cold apps without an offer. I'm glad that the rep took the time to not only chat you up about the options but assisted in the app submission by adding comments about your existing HP's.
