WOW nice cli from cap 1

I have been badmouthing cap 1 lately but i take it back. this morning i logged in to my acct and noticed my cl was 1800. yesterday it was 300. some dp's

my scores are 670-690, my income is mid 30's, bk7 dc in 12/2019 cap 1 iibk7 for about 5k, i've had the card 6 months,

i used the card every month between 30-50 percent balance of the credit limit and then pif after statement cut.

2 days ago they gave me an upgrade to the qs no af.

i was scratching my head as to why they gave me the no af version but now it appears they like me.

Does this mean i'm not bucketed?

I've never been able to understand Capital One, but at least they are being kind to you, maybe one day I will know how that feels, LOL.

Congrats!!!!! 🍾🎉🎊 When I upgraded my $500 Platinum to Quicksilver, 2 days later they increased me to $2000 and this is after slamming them any chance I got. They even sent me an email to get their SavorOne the day after upgrading to Quicksilver.

Wow, that's very nice. We don't a $300 SL increase that much that quickly very often.

I have read on these boards that cap 1 computers make these decisions. from posts i read the consensus was to use 30-45 percent of the cl per month and then pif the end of the month. thats exactly what i did except a couple of months i used closer to 50 percent of the cl.

MF is the best resource for this stuff. it worked.

ps- i never asked for a cli, it was automatic

Grats on your move up with Cap-1

Still possible they will limit the top CL you can obtain with the card since it originally was an AF card. I blew mine off after 11 yrs, never got it over 2450...

Adding: Now I only have walmart store card that transferred from Synch and I am getting pre selected mailers from Cap-1 trying to push me into one of their top tier cards. Not interested at this point as they would be redundant to the ones I already have reward wise.

I want that walmart card but i am cooling it until early 2022 when i want an nfcu cc first and then app for the walmart right after the nfcu.

I am very happy with the 1800 cl on the QS so if it stays there thats fine.

I want rewards cards, I use my red card and discover a lot because of rewards and that walmart card has 5 percent.

I apped the prequal yesterday on cap1, nothing showed and then on nfcu and only the nrewards showed. in jan i am post 2 yrs dc of my bk7 and maybe i have a shot with nfcu and walmart.

If i get those two cards i will drop a few of my present. i recently dropped 3 sub prime cards with low cl's and fees.

Thank you. I read tons of posts on cap 1 here and came to a consensus that using 30-45 percent of the cl per month and then pif after the statement cut was the best method to get a nice cli, it worked or i just got real lucky.

It does seem lately i have been seeing lots of threads about cap 1 cli's and approvals so maybe they are opening up right now.

i had cap 1 cards before i went bk7 so i know them well. i had one card opened in 2001 with a 500 cl and in 2019 when i filed bk it was still 500, THATS 19 YEARS

Wow, another suprised CLI good news from Capital One QS . Maybe around this time is a good time to ask for CLI from Cap. So far I read most of the CLI is automatically given and not a manual request . Weird right?
