PayPal Credit CLI

I've had a PayPal Credit account for about 5 years. It started with a $1,000 limit, and I received a couple of small auto CLIs over the years. The account has been stagnant at $1,250 for the last two years or so, which isn't a huge deal because I don't use it often. Today, I locked all my credit reports and requested a new credit limit of $2,500 using the "request credit line increase" link. Not even 2 seconds later, they countered my offer and gave me a new credit line of $1,900 available for use immediately. I'll take it! Especially without a hard pull. I had a $0 balance at the time of requesting the CLI.

I've been thinking about requesting a CLI for padding -- do you imagine they countered with less because of the frozen reports?

I've one of those and initially used it for a no interest for 12 months deal. They bumped it up to like $3000 after the payoff. I then used it slightly off and on for small stuff with a couple $1K PIF over a years time. Had a CLD maybe 4 years ago back the $1500 which I think was my initial limit.

IIRC they generally SP for CLI requests but I've never established ways to freeze/unfreeze any of my reports to ensure no HPs.
