Mini-App Spree Success!

So was able to clear a large part of my credit card debt, but wanted a couple of BT cards to put the rest on 0% APR for a bit

I live in PA, just for the credit bureau DPs

Approved for NFCU Platinum - $5200 at 14.99%, pulled Transunion

Approved for Wells Fargo Reflect - $8000 at 24.99%, pulled Experian

Received 7-10 business day message from Citi for the Diamond Preferred (which I really wanted for the initial BT, the CDP offers after BT, and future BTs, but whatever)

And since I was pre-approved for it, I went for the Amex Rose Gold using the Resy promo to get 20% back on restaurant purchases (up to $250 back) in the first 12 months. Approved, obviously NPSL for that, they approved using last month's Experian score, so no HP here.

Ended up going for 1 more card than I initially intended bc of the Citi response, but this way if Citi rejects my app, I won't really care.

Also, took advantage of the AMEX upgrade offer for my EveryDay to get the EveryDay Preferred, 40k MR points for $2k spend in the first 3 months (CSR detailed it as 92 days), so between the EDP and the Rose Gold, looking at 115k bonus MR points for $6k spend

Thanks! I figure I'll give them 24hrs then I'll call and see if they need any additional information. I didn't get the HP ding so idk what they're doing lol

Called in this morning and they had some trouble with my name (happens every so often). They manually pushed through the app and denied, I'm thinking because they see the Wells Fargo HP from yesterday lol. They're gonna send me a letter in the mail with the actual reason, but it's fine, that's why I went ahead and app'd for the WF Reflect in the first place.

Well that's a bummer but you're likely right. I've read a few times where they've denied an app with a recent HP. For context, I hit them up for my 2nd CLI on a card that's now 1 year old (1st CLI was approved at 6 months). Got denied for the CLI....why...recent inquiry. I had 1 from SEPT and the one before that was over 8 months ago...so you're likely right.

Pretty annoying since they were the first card I app'd for exactly that reason lol but you live and you learn. I'll swing back around on Citi at some point for something more than a BT card
