Target RedCard Approval

Hi everyone,

I was advised by a company that is assisting me with my rebuild to apply for a retail credit card to help round out my profile. On their recommendation I first applied for the Amazon Store Card and was denied. I appiled for the Target RedCard which was their second recommendation and was approved with a $1,100 SL. I will use it sparingly and have seen several posts on how this card can grow.

CONGRATS !!!!!

Its my favorite card even though it has the lowest limit of all my cards. I belong to the dont look desperate club, in fact i'm the president Some people go nuts updating their income every month and making calls and such. I am of the opposite view, i take it slow and never give the appearance of desperation. at 8 months i updated my income and a few days later they gave me a cli from 300 - 500, that was in may.

In january i plan to update my income and cross my fingers. Target seems to be very stingy but i cracked the cap 1 nut so im hoping to crack this nut too.

Other retail cards that are easy to get, - kohls - firestone - big lots - ikea.

Congratulations on your approval for the Target Redcard.

Mine also started at about the same SL. Which is a lot better than in years past when they use to start at $500

Congrats! But good luck with the growth thing. I've had mine 2.5 years with credit scores 790 across the boards now and 3% total UTL across all cards and w/usage and PIF on the Red card about every 2-3 months and I've never had a single CLI and still on my SL
