Amex approvals and cli story.

So I've had Amex for a bit now. About a year and half for my delta reserve card.
For some reason no matter how much I spent and paid to $0 and ask for cli I would never get one. Well finally after getting my credit scores a bit higher in the 700s I was finally able to get double my limit. It may be only $3400 but it's a start.

Also to add on top of that I wanted to add another Amex card so I checked the card application section after logging in. To my surprise I was pre- approved for every single card offered (odd). So I applied for a blue cash prefered card and was instantly approved but with a $1k starting limit. (Guess I'll have to build that up as well.)

About two weeks later, just browsing over the Amex site and I check the card section again, still pre- approved for every card at this point. (Still odd). Decide I want to get $0 annual fee card associated with Hilton so I check that out. Another instant approval but for $15k this time....

I still after all that have pre-approvals for everything.

Amex must be in the giving spirit currently. But I'll no longer press my luck and go into the garden. It's funny how Amex can be so locked up at one point and then the doors just get kicked open one day. 🤷🏽‍♂️
