NFCU Flagship VS 3rd CLI

starting limit 23.1k, 9.99%

First cli 90 days 3rd statement 23.1k-27.1k

second 180 days/ 6 statements 27.1k-31.1k.
third 180 days/ 6 statements 31.1k-39.1k

total current exposure 68.1k

second card, plat 25k SL at 5.99% hit 3rd statement and bumped to 29k.

this will hit 180/6 in January and get another boost to 37 making total cc exposure 72.1k

leaving room for one final cli to be maxed out.

relationship with NFCU/dps

member since 2006 (when enlisted)

closed account in 2008/used bank. Had neg balance/left them on the hook for like 50$ or something. Paid balance in 2019 or 2020 and opened new account- still shows member since 2006.

one CC with them, opened 2006, closed 2007, no negative remarks.

it still reports on my equifax as my oldest cc.
I set them up for direct deposit and they receive about 125k-140k a year in DD.

opened a vehicle finance 9/2020. 60m for 50k at 2.1%.
current fico 8 from here and fico9 from navy fed Below.

fyi I started my credit journey in 2014 when I didn't understand why I could not get approved for an American Express gold card despite my high income and realized how much $ I would save on vehicle loans and mortgages if I actually used CC's and monitored and cared for my credit. That's when I app'd for a CC from first premier, cap1 and discover. Credit karma recently sent me an email reminding me that 7 years ago my credit score was a 631.

I didn't get serious until I actually joined up and started participating here. Although I still mostly only lurk and read and not post.

scores have hovered over the last 6m between 785-815.

I am pausing credit seeking as I will be doing a new construction mortgage 1Q or 2Q next year. I am 4/24 right now but will be 3/24 or 2/24 by the time I am ready to get new cards. Watch out chase. I am coming for your subs.... again.

Congrats for your $8000 CLI. I read your other post regarding 190 days and 6th statement. Wow, something new to learn. They denied your but 7 days later they approved you and you are still gettting the late denied letter from the first CLI. lol. You can frame that letter for a reminder. That's amazing for your credit journey story.

I actually requested the increase every day after hitting my 6th statement and it was about 8-9 days later that I saw the available balance go up. The limit didn't show the increase until I recieved the approval email.

during that time I accrued at least 10-12 denials. Lol.

Didn't realize that could be done, I always thought I'd piss off someone in UW, but makes sense if denials for insufficient time since last increase are auto.

For real. lol, that's funny. I guess I could give a try on my Flagship and Platinum. I never ask CLI for either one of them ever. The Amex More Reward was given auto cli so I have to wait for another 2+ months or 3 months from now. If I am being denied, I am hoping to receive a letter showing my internal score with them. Right now requesting for Navy Platinum.

Yeah totally not kidding. Pretty sure this is an automated process with canned response. So as far as the 180-190 day wait goes, I'd lean towards the 190 as accurate.
