Three CLIs

I started with a $2500 secured Discover a year ago, and after about six months it graduated to unsecured and they gave me an unsolicited $200 CLI. Last month I requested another CLI, and they granted a $1500 CLI to $4200.

Tonight I decided to request CLIs for two cards that I've only had for about three months, a Costco/Citi Visa and an Amazon/Synchrony store card. Citi gave me a $2500 CLI to $12,300. (I was astounded that they gave me a $9800 limit in the first place!) Synchrony gave me a $1200 CLI to $3000.

My FICO 8 scores have been hovering around 730 to 750. My main problem is my average acocunt age is only around 7 months. I refinanced my auto loan (from Fifth Third Bank 4.99% to Credit Union of Denver 2.94%) and got a few new cards recently, so now I need to let them age. No more credit applications for a while.

I still have two secured cards, a Capital One Mastercard that currently has a $1100 limit with $899 security, and a Credit Union of Denver Mastercard with $5000 security and limit. The Capital One has been open almost a year, and at six months Capital One gave me an unsolicited $100 CLI, but the card did not graduate. I'm hoping that it may graduate soon. The Credit Union of Denver secured Mastercard does not graduate, which I was fully aware of when I applied. (I specificially told CUoD that I wanted a secured card, and did not at that time want to apply for an unsecured.)

Up until now I've not carried a balance over on any card, though due to the holidays I might have to carry a balance over for a month on two cards. Still, I have not had a single late payment. Given how disorganized I have been in the past, for me that's a big accomplishment.

Costco/Citi said my CLI was a SP. I'm not yet sure about Amazon/Synchrony; they might have told me but I didn't notice. The Discover CLI last month was a SP.

Are you planning on keeping the secured cards? (The $899 security deposit had me curious) Or, are you hoping they'll eventually graduate? Or, are you not worried about the deposits?
