I faced some hardships in 2017 and my credit cards went into default and eventually charge-off. I ended up paying them all off but the charge-off stuck to my credit report. I was mostly saddened that i lost my amex card, it actually made me depressed. They had promised that they would give me a 2500$ card if i paid them back but it was never offered to me even though i spent weeks calling them to discuss it.

Fast forward to 2021, my credit score finally hit a 690 and i figured i'd give it a try, i applied and they approved it , my card came the next day , i even shows member since 2013.

There is hope , it took me 4 year to get back on their side even after a charge off , Make sure you pay every penny back , if you settle you will never get a card back, you must own up to your responsibility and accept it.
