Happy new year. Its been crazy busy and real estate continues to be great. Its been a little over 6 months since I was last on here. Been working a little here and there on my file. I closed Amex gold bc they went up on their AF and I was not using the card.

Cap 1 QS started forever ago as one of my post BK cards at $500 limit and when I closed it a couple of months ago it was $500 limit, zero love at all.

Cap 1 Venture, actual used a bit but it never grew and hard to book travel with $1000. Once I got in with PenFed Pathfinder at $20000 stopped using it altogether. They closed it with no notice 2 months ago.

Amex does certainly make you work to cover the AF !

Your C1 story is very familiar. I too have an old QS at 1k. I ran some spend through it a few months ago. I used about $800/month for 6 months, always PIF. I did get an APR temporary reduction offer LOL. I just don't think I'm willing to spend there when I have much better cards. Now, I'm deciding whether to close or SD them.

I think the Pathfinder is definitely superior to the Venture card! Especially when you can have the AF waived. I only have the PCR, been looking at the Pathfinder and Platinum. Several members have commented on the difficulty of points redemption. So I haven't quite pulled the trigger yet.

Is your new Langley card the Cash Back Signature?
