PNC Core denied and then surprise Approval!

I received a preselected mailer from PNC with a firm interest rate and prescreened notice. Sounded pretty firm so I applied on 1-3 and got the 24hr notice. A few hours later I received an email denial. This morning while checking my accounts the Core card appeared in my online banking account! I called to confirm and the card is on its way with a 6k sl. A nice surprise to start the day!!

I can't figure out what happened. Perhaps as simple as someone sending the wrong decision email? I didn't try to recon so it's not that. I've heard nothing from PNC since the denial until the card just showed up in my account. I'm certainly not complaining since I was mad I wasted an inquiry on what looked like an easy approval!

Congrats on the PNC approval. They are a little weird with approvals and they do a lot of manual approvals.
