Amex Blue Cash Everyday CLI's

Was extremely pleased to receive an email this morning that I received a 2.5x CLI on my Amex Blue Cash Everyday card....definitely was not expecting that especially after asking for one roughly a month ago and getting declined.

Just out of curiosity, is AMEX fairly generous with their CLI's? If I continue on a responsible path with them can I expect random increases like this one or is this more of a one time thing? Trying to analyze my overall credit file so this info would help.

I've received two auto increases on Delta Reserve over the last two years.

First one was about six months after account was opened, second one a year from the first one.

It stated with something like $17,000.00 and now it sits at $35,000.00

It's interesting that Amex would give you an unsolicited auto-CLI when they just declined a requested one a month ago. Did anything dramatic change in your credit during that time? I'm just wondering what might have tipped the scale in such a big way!

I am watching this post, too, as I have the BCE and am interested in Product Changing this over to the BCP at some point. But before we reach that point would love to CLI this baby. I have the BCE for three months (well, let's call it "three") and interested in the Data Points (as I am sure that others are, too).

Right? I was pretty shocked. And full transparency, my credit score has gone down about 14 points since i last applied...holiday spending and some other things....so to see that was a great relief given my revolving number. I have to imagine it could have something to do with my tenure? As i believe i did just pass the 1 year mark, never missed a payment and kept a decent ratio....who knows though!
