Ollo Optimum approval

I honestly couldn't even guess how many mailers I've received for the Ollo platinum. I was never interested because I had enough cash back cards.

last week I received a familiar mailer with the exception of saying unlimited 2.5% back. I mulled it over reading stuff on it here and YouTube so figured why not. Was approved for $4000 with a 15.99% APR.

Looks like Ally bank recently bought Ollo. I've banked with Ally in the past and they were always pretty decent. Other than that, not much info out there.

I just went to their website and looked the card up. That is a remarkably good rewards card, especially with no annual fee and a decent credit limit. This matches the Alliant card. It's not as good as AOD's 3%, but they are a PITA on approvals, and some of the other 5% category cards, but compared with the typical Penfed 2% cash back card, or the Discover 1.5% (doubled the first year), this is an exceptional card.

Anybody know if they are BK friendly? How do you get an invite? I just assumed they were another Credit One-type sub-prime card.

I gotten the same series of that lower tier card and consistently refused it in by some stretch the Optimum would eventually show. So far no Optimum offer but will bide time to see if they are serious for my business or not.

Honestly I'm not sure why they picked me. Historically Ollo gravitates towards cardholders that carry a balance but I never really carry a balance so I'm not sure. As I said before I was hammered with mailers for their platinum card. Sometimes 2 in a week. I always just tossed them so maybe this is how they can get their money back from all the junk mail they invested on me lol.

Same here. I have been receiving mailers on a regular basis now since last year almost weekly for the Plat Card which summarily gets tossed because the Optimum fits my much improved profile more reasonably in my opinion. I had thought for sure by now they would have gone another step up with the Optimum Card offer but so far not.

Congrats on the approval. I got this invitation as well. I sat on it for a minute because of the lack of SUB. I came to the conclusion that a 2.5% CB card across the board is a winner for the long term. I found very few data points out there on this card. I got approved with a 7.5k limit and a 17.99% APR. Shows me that they are not only a subprime lender. I needed a good cash back card for my arsenal. Thanks for the conversation on this and congrats again.
